Florida basketball star Alex Condon continues to add to his growing list of accolades as the NCAA tournament draws closer. The standout big man for the Gators has been named a top-five finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, which honors the best center in college basketball.

Condon's multifaceted impact has been a driving force in Florida's strong season. The 6-foot-11-inch junior is averaging 14.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, while adding 107 total assists. The Australian also leads the team in blocked shots with 43. His combination of size and playmaking ability along with a fierce defensive presence make him a fitting candidate for the award.

The two-time All-SEC third-team selection is one of just four players in the nation averaging better than 14 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He also became just the third Florida player 6-foot-9-inches or taller to tally 100 assists since 2000, joining former Gators Corey Brewer and Chandler Parsons on this list.

Joined by fellow finalists Graham Ike, Flory Bidunga, Henri Veesaar and Zuby Elijofor, Condon's presence among the country's top centers highlights how elite the Gators front-court trio are leading into March Madness.
