Florentino Pérez’s candidacy has confirmed that José Mourinho will coach Real Madrid when Pérez wins the elections this weekend.

It was all but confirmed, but Pérez decided to announce it while Enrique Riquelme was live on one of Spain’s most-watched TV shows, El Hormiguero.

Mourinho will return to the Spanish capital more than a decade after his first stint coaching Real Madrid, where he led the team to one LaLiga title and a Copa del Rey trophy while building the foundation for the team which conquered La Décima in the 2013-14 season.
