Fleetwood Town defender Shaun Rooney has signed a new deal to remain with the League Two club for a further two years.
The 29-year-old is in his second spell with the Cod Army, having initially joined in 2022 when he made a total of 80 appearances in two seasons.
He went on to join Scottish side St Mirren in 2024 but returned to Highbury in January 2025 and has since turned out 45 times.
In total he has made 125 appearances for Fleetwood, of which 26 came last season, and he has scored 11 goals in total.
"His strong finish to the season will see him carry valuable momentum into the new campaign as he continues to be an important part of the club's plans," the club said.
