The Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day in Week 17.
The matchup's final score was 20-13 in Denver's favor.
Kansas City saw veteran quarterback Chris Oladokun put together an admirable performance against the first-place Broncos, but wasn't able to sustain its offensive attack. Oladokun completed 13 of his 22 pass attempts for 66 yards and one touchdown.
Fan-favorite running back Kareem Hunt led the Chiefs on the ground with 38 yards on seven attempts.
Star tight end Travis Kelce was Kansas City's leading receiver with five catches for 36 yards. Rookie Brashard Smith caught Oladokun's lone touchdown pass.
Defensively, the Chiefs were able to keep Broncos quarterback Bo Nix at bay for most of the game. Linebacker Nick Bolton led the charge with 12 combined tackles and one interception.
Pass-rusher Chris Jones tallied two combined tackles and one sack in the loss.
With their Week 17 matchup against Denver decided, Kansas City will look ahead to its final game of the 2025 regular season, which will be played against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
