The Golden State Warriors are on the road on Wednesday night as they face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of their second-round series.
After stealing Game 1 of the series on the road, the Warriors have struggled to keep pace with the Timberwolves as they have dropped three consecutive contests, including both games at home.
With the Warriors now trailing 3-1 in the series, they are now in a must-win situation in Game 5 on Wednesday on the road as they try to avoid a disappointing second-round exit.

Of course, the headline of the series thus far for Golden State has been their struggles with their star point guard Stephen Curry sidelined due to a left hamstring injury.
Curry suffered the injury early in the second quarter of Game 1 and while the Warriors were able to close out that game, they have struggled mightily without him in their lineup.
Because of this, many have wondered if Curry would be able to make an early return in Game 5 on Wednesday but that will not be the case as the Warriors have officially ruled him out.
Golden State announced on Wednesday morning that Curry will be reevaluated again on Saturday but he was cleared to begin light on-court workouts, including shooting drills.
This is a massive blow for the Warriors as Curry’s initial return timeline of Game 6 still holds true, but they first have to win Game 5 on the road to set up the opportunity for him to return on Sunday.
Because of this, they will need Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green and the rest of their core to step up in his absence as they try to avoid a second-round exit.

On the other side, the Timberwolves will enter Wednesday’s game with a clean injury report as they try to clinch the series with a victory.
Fans can catch Wednesday’s Game 5 matchup between the Warriors and Timberwolves at 9:30 p.m. EST on TNT.
