The 2026 FIFA World Cup final is here, with Spain and Argentina the last two teams standing in the soccer tournament.
For the grand finale, the closing ceremony featured Jennifer Hudson performing the U.S. National Anthem at the New York/New Jersey Stadium in New Jersey, also known as MetLife Stadium during the NFL season.

Donald Trump, his wife Melania Trump, and Vice President JD Vance were also in attendance at the matchup that would crown a soccer champion.

The closing ceremony also featured a performance from Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, and Laura Pausini singing the official World Cup song.
Singer Maria Becerra also performed on the stage, singing Argentina’s National Anthem.
One of the most powerful moments of the ceremony was Tom Cruise with a speech of unity.
“More than 30 days ago, 48 nations began a journey,” Cruise said. “They crossed oceans. They crossed borders. They crossed cultures. And together they showed us why this game belongs to the world.”

He continued, “From three countries across them, and from every corner of the globe, we have witnessed greatness, and we have shared in moments of joy, moments of hope, moments we will all never forget. Football is a language spoken without words, a force that unites people, that turns strangers into friends and reminds us of what we all have in common.”
Cruise ended his speech saying, “As we gather for one final chapter, let us celebrate a tournament that brought the world together. Let us celebrate each other. This is football. This is unity. And this is greatness.”
