With mandatory minicamp in the books, we have officially reached the quietest portion of the NFL's offseason calendar - when it's time to rank everyone, everything, everywhere, including the best and worst uniforms in each team's history.
For the Atlanta Falcons, we are partial to their throwback look with red helmets, black jerseys and white pants with black and red strips, but not everyone agrees that's their best look.
According to Jacob Robinson at The Athletic, Atlanta's best uniform in franchise history was the red jerseys and silver pants that they wore from 1978-1989.
"Do they just not make this color red anymore? It’s the only reason I can think to ever change from these beauties with the classic bird emblem and silver pants. No notes."
As for their worst look, Robinson picked the home black uniforms they wore in the early and mid 90s when the Falcons were far from the Super Bowl contender they became later on in the decade.
"I’ll never forgive former head coach Jerry Glanville for these things. They weren’t terrible on their own, but they ushered in an era of black-dominated jersey combinations that never hit the mark. The Falcons were 46-66 in these, which outlasted the “Man in Black” himself by three seasons."
If we had to pick the Falcons' worst look ever, it's the bland and uninspired ATL jerseys by a mile.
