In the middle of the Women's College World Series game between Mississippi State softball and Texas Tech, ESPN broadcasters enjoyed an unusual snack.

Holly Rowe was eating broccoli ice cream on camera in the top of the third inning in Oklahoma City. Beth Mowins, Michele Smith, and Jessica Mendoza all tried from inside the booth while calling the game.

Mississippi State utility player Ally Suppan was also shown trying broccoli ice cream in the dugout during the game.

Churn & Spoon, an ice cream shop in Starkville, made a special batch of broccoli ice cream in honor of the Bulldogs' first trip to the WCWS. The store posted about the special flavor on social media on May 26, ahead of the first game on May 28.

The ice cream flavor links to MSU fan Broccoli Guy, also known as Jim Stewart Allen.

"You may know that we’re a real creamery & make all #IceCream in store right here in #Starkville, #Mississippi. Today, we made a special batch for our @hailstatesb! Introducing the world’s first Broccoli Ice Cream for the first trip to the World Series. #HailState & eat your broccoli. #ItsReal & available this Tuesday," they wrote on Instagram.
