One of the best kick returners in all of college football — Iowa wide receiver Kaden Wetjen — checks a lot of boxes for the Pittsburgh Steelers, especially when considering his projected Day 3 price tag.

Here’s a look at Wetjen’s scouting report, containing important information on his bio, strengths, concerns, stats, and highlights.

Kaden Wetjen, WR/KR, Iowa​

  • Height: 5 feet 9 3/8 inches
  • Weight: 193 pounds
  • 40-yard dash: 4.47 seconds
  • Projection: Sixth- to seventh-round

Strengths​

  • Great top-end speed
  • Outstanding vision on returns
  • Excellent hands
  • Good ball security
  • Electric as a return specialist (six total touchdowns from 2024–2025)

Concerns​

  • Undersized frame (5'9 3/8", 193 lbs, 29 5/8")
  • Struggles against press coverage
  • Very limited production as a receiver

Stats​

  • 2024: Three receptions, 46 yards, zero touchdowns
  • 2025: 20 receptions, 151 yards, one touchdown

Note: From 2023-2025, Wetjen returned 57 punts for 954 yards and four touchdowns, as well as 56 kickoffs for 1,538 yards and two touchdowns.
