Well, there’s no no-bat catcher or Ha-Seong Kim in this lineup, which doesn’t really ameliorate the fact that they’re facing best-arm-in-baseball-right-now Jacob Misiorowski, but it is what it is.

Remember when the Braves would slavishly alternate handedness in the lineup? Yeah, these days are not those days. This is very much a new lineup, with Michael Harris II still shelved. When this one starts, the Braves will have used 61 different lineups in 74 games.

The Brewers mix and match a lot, as is their wont. They’ve used 66 lineups in 72 games, and this is another new one, because Cooper Pratt has only been up for a few games. Jake Bauers is the guy initially on the bench for this one as the Brewers are starting both Garrett Mitchell and Blake Perkins in the outfield. Spots two through six in their lineup have imposing xwOBAs, but that’s more of an issue for the Braves’ eventual relievers than for Martin Perez’ pachinko proclivities.
