The first wave of NFL free agency can best be described as a feeding frenzy that saw teams invest upwards of $2.8B in talent on Day 1 of the legal tampering period alone. While free agency can be rewarding, championship rosters are built through the draft, and it's an ever-evolving process, with team needs and roster urgency shifting based on personnel losses during the second week in March.

Mel Kiper just released his latest mock draft for ESPN with a change in the first round draft order, after the Rams dealt their No. 29 selection to the Chiefs for Trent McDuffie. Philadelphia has the No. 23 overall pick, and Kiper has them taking an All-American offensive tackle.

Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State

Iheanachor had 31 starts at Arizona State, but he didn't play much football before that, picking up the sport late. He'll need time to reach his potential in the NFL. But what better way to develop than learning behind an elite right tackle in Lane Johnson? Iheanachor plays with quick feet -- he ran a 4.91-second 40-yard dash at 6-foot-6 and 321 pounds -- and great length. He could provide swing tackle depth in Year 1 before eventually taking over for Johnson on the right side in the future.

At 6-6, 330 pounds, Max Iheanachor started all 14 games at right tackle in 2024 for Arizona State, playing on 923 of ASU's 974 offensive snaps on the season, earning a 78.1 grade from PFF, 38th best in America. Iheanachor played a key role in Cam Skattebo's career year and fifth-place finish in the Heisman voting. Iheanachor took it up a notch in 2025.

An elite athlete who soccer and basketball before joining the football team in junior college, Iheanachor's combination of size and quickness is similar to Lane Johnson, and the Eagles would provide the backdrop for slow development to the NFL style of play.
