Real Madrid signing Denzel Dumfries completed his first training session with the group today immediately after passing his medical. The club announced his signing during the World Cup, so he had to pass his medical exams before heading to Valdebebas.
Dumfries will likely compete with Trent Alexander-Arnold for the starting spot on the right side of the defensive line. He offers a different kind of profile, with a better defensive presence than Arnold’s which could very well be useful throughout the course of the season.
Real Madrid spent €25 million to trigger the release clause he had on his contract with Inter, so the club expects him to be a valuable asset now that he has officially kicked off his career as a madridista.
