After winning the NBA G League Player of the Week with the South Bay Lakers, forward Drew Timme is headed up to the big club on a two-way contract (per ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel. Most likely, the Los Angeles Lakers and general manager Rob Pelinka are to cut center Christian Koloko to make room for Timme.

The Gonzaga legend will be teaming up with forward Rui Hachimura in Hollywood, while also still spending time with South Bay and forward Anton Watson.

The Lakers are in the process of finalizing a two-way contract with Drew Timme, league sources told @ClutchPoints.

LA won’t be cutting Nick Smith Jr., so they will need to waive either Christian Koloko or Chris Manon to sign Timme.

Through the first three games of the 2025-26 season at the G League Tip-Off Tournament, Timme averaged 30.0 points on 48.4 shooting from the field, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists during a 3-0 stretch.
