Donovan Ferreira makes heads turn in Jaipur against Delhi Capitals
Donovan Ferreira built on his momentum and played a sensational cameo of 74 runs off just 14 balls when the Rajasthan Royals hosted the Delhi Capitals at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium on Friday evening.
RR were on the ropes early, staring at 12 for 2 inside two overs after losing both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi without much fuss. What followed was a masterclass in recovery, led first by a captain who had been waiting for a moment like this, and then Ferreira took over.
Riyan Parag reached his first half-century of the IPL 2026 season in just 32 balls, and kept pressing hard once he got there. He then stitched a useful stand with Ravindra Jadeja in the middle overs, but both fell to Mitchell Starc in the 17th over.
Parag's innings of 90 off 50 balls was laced with 8 fours and 5 sixes. And then Ferreira took over.

Rajasthan Royals had traded Nitish Rana to Delhi Capitals in November 2025, bringing Ferreira back to the pink camp in the same deal. On Friday night, he repaid that faith with interest.
He took on Kuldeep Yadav in the 18th over, launching three massive sixes to swing momentum firmly in Rajasthan's favour, before targeting Mitchell Starc in the 19th, plundering 17 runs in the over to drag Rajasthan past the 200-mark.

He saved his most outrageous hitting for last, smashing T Natarajan for 18 runs in the final over, finishing with 47 not out off just 14 deliveries to propel Rajasthan to 225 for 6.
The Cricket News Opinion: Tough chase for Delhi Capitals in Jaipur
Delhi Capitals now require 226 runs to win, which would be their highest successful chase in IPL history. It is undoubtedly a tall order for a side that came into the night having lost three matches running and desperate to turn the corner.
