MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins selected wide receiver Caleb Douglas of Texas Tech with the 75th pick overall, in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Caleb Douglas is the fourth pick of the Dolphins' draft, along with offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor, cornerback Chris Johnson and linebacker Jacob Rodriguez.

Among the players the Dolphins passed on were cornerback Jermod McCoy, cornerback Malik Muhammad, wide receiver Ted Hurst of Georgia State and wide receiver Chris Brazzell II of Tennessee.

Douglas, 6-foot-4, 206 pounds, has good body control but has had some trouble with drops.

ESPN ranked Douglas as the 26th best receiver in this draft.

The Athletic compared Douglas to former Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks.

Douglas was a transfer from Florida.

Here is our instant grade on the Dolphins picking Caleb Douglas:

Dolphins' draft grade for WR Caleb Douglas: C+

Douglas adds size to a Dolphins wide receiver room that needs it. Douglas has also run a 4.39 second 40-yard dash. He could be a deep-ball weapon for strong-armed Malik Willis.

Douglas reportedly has an impressive 79-inch wingspan. He is willing to contribute to the run blocking game.

It is interesting the Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan, son of former Dolphins wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan, chose Douglas over some players projected to be drafted higher.

The Giants taking Malachi Fields of Notre Dame one spot ahead of Douglas could have affected the Dolphins. It's hard to know for sure.
