Oct 31, 2025; Toronto, Ontario, CAN; Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Tommy Edman (25) hits a double against the Toronto Blue Jays in the third inning for game six of the 2025 MLB World Series at Rogers Centre.

Edman was twice sidelined by his injured right ankle last season, and he ended the year playing only second base as he nursed the injury.

Apr 11, 2025; Los Angeles, California, USA; Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Tommy Edman (25) and shortstop Mookie Betts (50) celebrate after defeating the Chicago Cubs at Dodger Stadium.

Miguel Rojas, Hyeseong Kim,Alex Freeland and Santiago Espinal have filled in at different points, though Kim and Freeland have also spent time in the minors.

Espinal also was designated for assignment and later brought back.

Hernandez also returned from injury all to briefly before an oblique injury sent him back to the IL.

With Edman returning, the Dodgers have another solid infielder, though they’ll likely have to DFA or send down a player, likely an infielder but maybe an outfielder, to make room.

Who do you think will be moved for Tommy Edman’s return?
