The Sanders family is on the cusp of adding to its NFL legacy as Shedeur Sanders prepares to be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, and son of Deion Sanders, has seen his draft stock resemble a roller coaster ride for months.

Despite this, many believed Sanders would be a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He received first-round buzz and was viewed as a likely early Day 2 selection if he slipped out of the first round.

Instead, Sanders was not chosen in the first three rounds of the draft. Now, Sanders' camp and NFL fans alike are eagerly awaiting his selection as they look to see which NFL team will take him.

Opinions of Sanders differ depending on whom you ask.

Some believe he's the best quarterback in the class. Others feel it's only a matter of time until he's declared a draft bust. Then there are those that center the evaluation on personality, which ranges from a class act to an entitled, arrogant individual.

We'll eventually learn which side of the argument was correct or whether the answer was somewhere in the middle, but Sanders' draft journey has been anything but conventional.

Here's a look at Sanders' draft status and which NFL team he'll be taking his talents to if and when he is selected.

Did Shedeur Sanders get drafted?

Sanders has not yet been drafted entering Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft. All eyes will be on him as he hopes to make his NFL draft come true over the draft's final 155 selections.

The Colorado quarterback was expected to be chosen on Day 2 after slipping out of the draft's first round. That never came to fruition, as he was not among the five quarterbacks – Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart, Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe and Dillon Gabriel – chosen within the draft's first 102 picks.

Sanders was initially considered a top pick in the draft before dropping out of the first round. The Pittsburgh Steelers, considered to be his most likely landing spot, passed on the Colorado quarterback multiple times over the first two days.

The Cleveland Browns, another popular mock draft destination for Sanders, opted to take Gabriel at the end of the third round.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said on Friday that he believed Sanders' floor was No. 83 with the Steelers. Instead, now he's in danger of not being drafted at all.

It's a shocking situation for a quarterback that was once believed to be in the same class as Ward.
