Ha, I was going to post about Lindsey Graham's passing, saw that I lacked permission to start a thread, and wondered whether I'd ever had that permission in P&R, or whether it had always been reserved for special people. Then I saw the announcement.

Yeah I get why P&R had to be shut down, because even though most people were playing by the rules, a few had to ruin it for everyone. But it has become the main reason I visit the board, so it will be missed.

National TV news has lost its way, so I use X (twitter) as my early warning system.

It might not be the whole truth, but it sure tells me when to start looking for it.

I love politics. But it was becoming uncivil between certain people on those forums. Probably for the best. I too would go see what you guys posted to get an idea of what was going on in the world. Sometimes the stories were ones I never saw in my news feeds.

It was the main reason I came here, as Eric also said. I’m a Suns fan but admittedly have little interest in them these days. That’s my only other connection here. I’ll lurk from time to time, but that’s about it.

Given the state of the CARDS and the pete-and-repeat on that board, I'll probably let this subscription wane into oblivion.

Yep, the jerks that wanted to destroy it got their way. Any board that lets complete and total trolls like Johnnycakes continue to destroy any semblance of order is not a serious board.

And yes, he's not the only one who created issues here, but let's not pretend that he's not a big reason we're here.

Thread is closed. We're not debating who's at fault. Way more people than Jonny lead to it. A lot of people need to look in the mirror at how they behaved in there.
