Did Caitlin Clark just reveal Lexie Hull’s wedding timeline? originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Sometimes the biggest clues don’t come from announcements. They come from teammates. A recent comment from Caitlin Clark has fans connecting the dots on Lexie Hull’s long-awaited wedding plans, adding a personal storyline to what’s already shaping up to be an important season for the Indiana Fever.
A simple post, and a telling reply
Hull recently shared a post celebrating her six-year anniversary with fiancé Will Matthiessen, writing, “our last May 1st anniversary!! 6 years and counting.” That line alone hinted that a wedding is coming within the next year. But it was Clark’s response that really got attention.
“I’m excited for November baby,” Clark commented.
It was short, quick nd easy to miss. But it also sounded a lot like confirmation.
November has been mentioned before
Clark’s comment did not come out of nowhere. Earlier this year, teammate Sophie Cunningham mentioned on her podcast that Hull was planning a November wedding. At the time, it felt like a loose detail. Now, with Clark echoing that timeline publicly, it feels much more concrete.
Nothing has been formally announced by Hull herself, but the pieces are starting to line up.

Timing makes sense for a WNBA player
If November is the target, it fits perfectly with the WNBA calendar. The regular season typically wraps up in September, with playoffs running through October. That gives players a natural window in the offseason to plan major life events without juggling travel, games, and team responsibilities.
For Hull, that balance has not always been easy. She previously shared how challenging wedding planning can be while managing a pro schedule. This timeline solves that.
Basketball first, then the big day
For now, the focus stays on the court. Hull is coming off a season where she posted career highs across multiple categories and continues to carve out a key role for Indiana. With Clark now in the mix and expectations rising around the team, her contributions matter even more. The wedding will come. The timing just might be clearer now.
And if it does land in November, fans may look back at a quick comment from Clark as the moment the timeline quietly became public.
