David Blough started 5 games for Detroit Lions in 2019-21 but declined a practice squad spot last summer after losing out on backup job to Tim Boyle.

Why would they sign him when Colt McCoy was available. Possibly, because they didn't want to get into a bidding battle with six other teams.
