Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White cleared up some misconceptions about his fellow teammates during a recent appearance on the "Run It Back" podcast. With plenty of spare time on his hands after the Celtics' loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs, White has been keeping busy, this podcast among the things keeping him occupied since.

And on it, among a number of topics in a wide-ranging interview, the Colorado alum shared his take on what it was like playing with star forward Jaylen Brown. "don't think people understand how hard he works," explained the University of Colorado - Boulder alum.

"Every day he's in there working on his game, working on different things he can improve, watching film and seeing different ways to improve," said White. "When you see that from behind the scenes, you want to play for him and you want to help in any way you can."

The Coloado native had praise for his coach as well, who is sometimes seen as putting on an act of sorts with his intense, in-court personality. "He's a great basketball mind. He thinks the game like no one I've really been around," he explained.

"All the stories of him being crazy (is) just how he is every single day. It's not for the media, nothing. He just goes out there and he's like, 'All these stories that the media hears about me is like people telling it.'."
