Delaware Academy is going to the section finals.

The Bulldog boys and girls both won semifinal games in the Section IV Class C playoffs Wednesday, March 4, in Delhi, and will compete this weekend for the championships.

The top-seeded girls will defend their section title against No. 2 Union Springs, which topped Bainbridge-Guilford on Wednesday. The title game will take place at Tompkins Cortland Community College at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 7.

The No. 2 seeded boys, who have won 17-straight games since a loss to Cooperstown on Dec. 29, will play top seeded Notre Dame, at 4 p.m., Saturday at TC3.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Delaware Academy 63, Trumansburg 43

John Wilson had a game-high 18 points as the Bulldogs advanced to the championship game with a big win over Trumansburg.

Delaware Academy (19-3) led after one quarter, 16-11, and at halftime, 34-24.

Dafydd Williams scored 14 points to lead the Blue Raiders, which also got 10 points from Aiden Clarke-Cabezas and nine points from Arlo Peake.

Lucas Nealis scored 11 points and had five steals and five rebounds for the Bulldogs, which also got eight points and four assists from Teddy Kelsh.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Delaware Academy 51, Moravia 39

Danielle Ennist scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds as the Bulldogs advanced to the title game with a win over Moravia.

The Bulldogs led at halftime, 18-15, but tripled the lead in the third quarter by going on a 16-10 run.

Tyler Abts scored 11 points for Delaware Academy (20-2), which also got seven points from Rebecca Verspoor and six points each from Paige Weaver and Lexi Davis.

Union Springs 44, Bainbridge-Guilford 36

Marissa Mayo scored 10 points, but the Bobcats lost in the Section IV Class C semifinals on Wednesday at Tompkins Cortland Community College.

Jennie Daum scored a game-high 17 points to lead to Wolves.

Jayslin Henderson scored eight points and Peyton Umbra scored six points for Bainbridge-Guilford (19-3).
