The Davidson Wildcats will look for their first postseason win since 2008 as they visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a first-round NIT matchup tonight.
The Cowboys' run-and-gun attack should overwhelm the Wildcats, which is why I’m taking Anthony Roy to hit his points total in my Davidson vs. Oklahoma State predictions.

Davidson has found most of its success this year when it has slowed down the game, something it won’t be able to do against an Oklahoma State squad averaging 84.3 points per game. The Cowboys are 14-5 at home and were even formidable in their building against the toughest Big 12 opponents. Oklahoma State should advance tonight in a shootout.
Anthony Roy (17.2 ppg) has been the Oklahoma State Cowboys' leading scorer all season long, but the senior has turned on the gas down the stretch, scoring 24+ points in three of his last four outings, with only the elite Houston Cougars defense holding him to 18.
Roy is shooting 91.2% from the line on 34 attempts during those four games.
The Cowboys rank ninth in the country in adjusted tempo according to KenPom, and have been successful in pushing the pace against virtually every opponent. I’m expecting another big game from Roy tonight.

The Cowboys have hit the Over in six straight games, and haven't played to a total Under tonight’s number since a game at Colorado on Feb. 21.
That offense is something Davidson isn’t accustomed to defending. While the Wildcats will try to slow the game, even Houston couldn't do that, and it has far more defensive talent than the Wildcats. The Cowboys should win comfortably at home tonight.

For a different take on tonight’s game, let’s target Cowboys guard Kanye Clary.
The junior has become a larger part of the Oklahoma State offense in recent games, scoring 14.3 PPG over his last six contests. In that same span, he’s hit at least two shots from deep in four of those games, and has 5+ rebounds in three of his last four overall. Clary should be a big part of the Cowboys win tonight.
