The Dallas Cowboys' running back room has a new face after the franchise signed former UFL rushing champion Jashaun Corbin on Friday.
In a corresponding move, Dallas said goodbye to Dominic Robinson.
Corbin does have some NFL skins on the wall, playing in six games for the New York Giants in 2023, catching three passes for 12 yards while rushing for one yard on one attempt.
Having led the UFL in rushing in 2025 with 514 yards and 4 TDs for the San Antonio Brahmas, Corbin does have good production behind him.
The following year, he finished third in the league in rushing with the Orlando Storm, producing 438 yards, so he comes to Dallas with a good resume.

But aside from receiver, running back is perhaps the most stacked position in terms of roster battles in Oxnard, meaning making a name for yourself is going to be seriously hard.
Javonte Williams is the starter, but behind him, Jaydon Blue, Phil Mafah, Malik Davis, and Israel Abanikanda have all made plays in camp.
So Corbin comes in, likely more as another camp body, because right now, he's fighting for a practice squad spot.
Still, Dallas has hit the lottery in poaching players from the lower leagues with All-Pro's Brandon Aubrey and KaVontae Turpin both being signed from the USFL.
Now, the 5-11, 224-pound Corbin - who played at Texas A&M and then at Florida State - becomes the latest name to get a shot with the Cowboys, and he's going to have to make some serious noise if he is to have any sort of impact over the next couple of weeks.

Blue and Mafah have both made really strong starts to camp in Oxnard, so that is likely the top three running back spots sorted, meaning it's an uphill battle for Corbin.
Still, all players from the UFL and others simply want a shot at an NFL roster spot, and Corbin has that.
Plus, already having some sort of NFL experience could hold him in good stead over the next couple of weeks as he looks to make some kind of impact for Brian Schottenheimer's offense.
Dallas clearly saw something in Corbin; now we will see if he can make some noise in Oxnard as part of a running back room that had serious battles for snaps every single day.
