Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian has landed another huge recruit. No. 3 2027 running back Landen Williams-Callis has committed to Texasover Texas A&M, Missouri, SMU, and Houston.
The Richmond, Texas prospect rushed for over 7,550 rushing yards and 125 touchdowns in his three high school seasons, including 3,502 yards and 59 scores last year as one of the most dominant players in the state of Texas. Williams-Callis was the highest ranked 2027 non-committed recruit. He ranks No. 49 nationally, according to Rivals/On3.
Much like Mack Brown before him, keeping elite in-state talent home has been one of Steve Sarkisian's biggest priorities since he was hired as Texas' head coach in January 2021. Williams-Callis' speed, vision and big-play ability should be a perfect fit for Sark's offense.
Entering his senior, Williams-Callis needs to rush for 2,446 yards to hit 10,000 career yards and 3,679 to break the state record. A remarkable feat considering the Hall of Fame running backs that have come out of the Lone Star State.
Texas has 14 pledges since June 1, including 10 top 300 prospects.

Just the relationship with the coaches at Texas," Williams-Callis said during his commitment ceremony. "They develop their guys good. They have a lot of people get drafted into the NFL."
