The Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders entered the offseason hoping to change the program's trajectory. They did that with 40-plus transfers and a completely revamped coaching staff.
Two additions to Sanders' staff are former NFL players Pierson Prioleau and Xavier Adibi. Both will be defensive quality control analysts this season, according to USA TODAY Sports. New defensive coordinator Chris Marve, Virginia Tech's former defensive coordinator, had both on his staff at certain points.
USA TODAY Sports reports that Prioleau will earn $100,00 annually and Adibi will earn $85,000.
At Big 12 Media Days earlier this week, Sanders repeatedly complimented his new staff, saying it "is the best coaching staff I've had."
Adibi will work with the linebacker, and Prioleau will likely work with the safeties, his position in the NFL. Despite losing Warren Sapp and Marshall Faulk this offseason, Sanders found two coaches with plenty of NFL experience to fill that void.
Vonn Bell is another former NFL player to join this offseason as a quality control analyst and will be paid $100,000 annually.
Sanders and Colorado are going all in, hoping to find a coaching edge, and the financial decisions support that notion, including the hiring of innovative offensive coordinator Brennan Marion.
