The Kansas City Chiefs selected Oregon Ducks defensive back Jadon Canady with the 109th pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

Canady is an experienced safety from the secondary, bringing plenty of versatility and options for defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s revamped unit.

He has earned praise in his college career for quickly closing distances with a burst of speed and well-timed contact in pass coverage. He has quick instincts in the secondary with solid playmaking and ball skills. Canady played two years at Tulane and transferred to the University of Mississippi for another two years before finishing his college career at Oregon in 2025.
