New Chargers tight end Charlie Kolar sent a message to fans amid NFL free agency.

Los Angeles agreed to terms with Kolar on a three-year, $24.3 million deal. The former Ravens tight end took to social media to address the polarizing comments about the Chargers' reported deal with Kolar.

"I’ll be serious tomorrow but too excited today - all I can say is this is the most time I’ve ever spent on Twitter and I did not realize how creative some NFL fans are. I’ve laughed out loud at least 30 times at comments both good and bad ones (as long as it’s respectful)," Kolar wrote.

Kolar evidently has a playful sense of humor as he's retweeted several memes regarding his addition to the Bolts in free agency.

How Does Kolar Fit With the Chargers?

The addition of Kolar signals head coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel are putting an emphasis on the rushing attack in 2026.

The 27-year-old recorded 10 catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns last season as a member of the Ravens. Kolar ranked eighth among all tight ends with a 71.5 run-blocking grade and a run-block win rate of 75.5%

Across four seasons with Baltimore, he posted 30 catches for 409 yards and four touchdowns.
