The Cleveland Cavaliers take the next step toward their quest for a championship on Sunday when they kick off their second-round NBA playoffs series against the Indiana Pacers.

Unfortunately for the Cavs, they were dealt some concerning news on the eve of their Game 1 matchup. This comes in the form of two-time All-Star Darius Garland not being able to shake off a lingering toe injury that kept him out of Cleveland's last two games.

The Cavs have already submitted their injury report for Sunday's contest, and Gardland has officially been listed as questionable to play with a sprain in his left great toe.

This does not bode well for the 6-foot-1 guard's status for Monday's game, considering how Garland was also listed as questionable heading into Games 3 and 4 against the Miami Heat before eventually being ruled out for both contests.

It is worth noting, however, that the Pacers, who just eliminated Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in five games, pose a different challenge for the Cavs than the Heat.

Cleveland will need to be as healthy as they can in this series, and there's no denying that Garland's status could play a major role in how this second-round clash plays out.
