Indiana Fever star and Iowa women's basketball legend Caitlin Clark exited Wednesday's game against the Phoenix Mercury with an injury. Find out the latest info on the situation here:

Clark exited Wednesday's game in the third quarter with a back issue, according to the Fever. She will not return for the remainder of the contest.

The former Hawkeye appeared to have tweaked her back after getting fouled in the second quarter. After remaining in the game for a bit, she eventually checked out with 5:15 left in the third and went to the locker room. Shortly after, the Fever announced Clark would not be back for the remainder of the game.

Indiana was leading, 85-82, at the end of the third quarter.

She looked to tweak her back when she was fouled in the second quarter. She checked out at 5:15 in the third, went back to the locker room, and didn't return.

At the time she exited the game, Clark had 19 points on 5-of-9 shooting and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Clark has missed time previously this season due to a back injury. In 2025, she only played 13 games because of a myriad of injuries, including to her left quad, left groin, right groin, and ankle.
