Bryson DeChambeau slams course conditions at LIV Golf Mexico City (again)

Amid reports of LIV Golf's potential loss of funding from the Saudi Public Investment Fund, the actual golf being played on the circuit this week has taken a backseat.

That was until a video began making the rounds on social media Friday morning showing Bryson DeChambeau expressing his frustrations about the course conditions at Club de Golf Chapultepec, the host of this week's LIV Golf Mexico City event. During the first round of the tournament, a fan caught DeChambeau making a fuss about the condition of the rough after he'd bladed a bunker shot over the green.

"You've got destroyed grass," DeChambeau says to his caddie while pointing to his ball resting in a dead patch. The video then shows the Crushers GC captain waiting for a rules official while continuing to lament the lack of grass around his ball.

"Oh, this is rough? Definitely. Good to see," he remarked sarcastically. "Guys, this is what we're playing on apparently."

Once the rules official arrived, DeChambeau seemed to be pleading for some sort of relief from the dead spots, but his efforts didn't appear successful as he proceeded to hit a chip from where his ball was lying. Ultimately, he got up-and-down to save par.

This isn't the first time DeChambeau has aired his grievances about the course conditions at Club de Golf Chapultepec. Last year, a video showing DeChambeau struggling to hit out of what he called "the worst f***ing bunkers ever" that could "break someone's wrist."
