The Browns will be hunting an offensive tackle early in the 2026 NFL Draft. They have addressed every other position along their offensive line outside of left tackle, making that a prime position for them to find a young, talented option in the draft.
They traded for an extended former first round right tackle Tytus Howard, signed Pro Bowler Elgton Jenkins to a three-year deal, signed another former first rounder in Zion Johnson, re-signed depth guard Teven Jenkins, and are expecting center Luke Wypler back by training camp after suffering a Week 18 injury. This leaves left tackle as the glaringly obvious spot for Cleveland to look hard at in a couple of weeks.
This leaves plenty of options for the Browns to select at left tackle. So, who are the best tackles in the class?
The Browns have been linked to Utah right tackle Spencer Fano and Georgia left tackle Monroe Freeling. Mock drafts commonly have the Browns selecting one of those two players at the top of the draft. Both players are athletic freaks, giving the Browns a high ceiling to shoot at early in the NFL Draft.
NFL analyst Cory Kinnan at Daft on Draft has dropped his offensive tackle rankings as well, and both Fano and Freeling are listed as his top two in the class. In a perfect world, the Browns can trade back from the sixth overall pick to get as many bites at the apple for cheap contracts as possible before then looking to add one of Freeling or Fano later down the board.
