Browns linebacker Devin Bush Jr. was arrested May 4 in suburban Pittsburgh and is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing.

According to the Magistral District Court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania records, Bush was arrested in Bell Acres Borough, a community about 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh on simple assault and harassment charges. The court records indicate he's been arraigned and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing May 20 at 1:30 p.m. in the Allegheny County Magistral District Court.

KDKA's Collin Dunlap was the first to report the arrest.

Bush, according to the court records, posted a non-monetary bail.

The simple assault was listed as a second-degree misdemeanor. The harassment charge was listed as a summary offense.

No other information is currently available. A message left with the Bell Acres Police Department was not immediately returned.

A Browns spokesperson said the team was "aware" of the situation and "gathering more information."

Beyond the legal ramifications, Bush would also be subject to NFL punishment through the Personal Code of Conduct process.

Bush, 26, was re-signed by the Browns this offseason after having played in 16 games with 10 starts a year ago. He was originally a 2019 first-round draft pick (No. 10 overall) of the Pittsburgh Steelers out of the University of Michigan.
