Broncos Wire's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at third-year wide receiver Troy Franklin, No. 11.

Before the Broncos: Franklin (6-3, 180 pounds) was a three-year player for the University of Oregon from 2021-23. In 40 games played for the Ducks, Franklin caught 160 passes for 2,483 yards and 25 touchdowns. Under then-Ducks quarterback Bo Nix's leadership, Franklin led the Pac-12 in touchdowns in 2022 and 2023. Franklin was drafted by the Denver Broncos alongside Nix in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2024 NFL draft.

Broncos tenure: Franklin had an underwhelming rookie year, ranking fourth on the team with 53 targets, but sixth on the team in receptions with 26 for 263 yards and just two touchdowns. Franklin caught the lone touchdown in the Broncos' wild-card loss against the Buffalo Bills that season. Franklin struggled with drops in 2024, but improved in Year 2. Franklin improved to second on the Broncos in both targets (104) and receptions (65) for 709 yards and six scores in 2026, helping Denver earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC and their first playoff victory since the 2015 season.

Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely, but not a lock. Although Franklin was second on the team in receptions in 2025, Franklin could see a drop in production in 2026. With the emergence of wide receiver Pat Bryant and the team's March trade for Jaylen Waddle, Franklin may be relegated to WR4 or WR5 this season. Franklin will have to impress this summer he wants to remain a top target in 2026.
