Colorado football's new offensive coordinator is not wasting time making an impression in Boulder. Brennan Marion showed off his competitive side during a recent practice video, racing star receiver Danny Scudero in a footwork drill and adding a little extra energy to a staff that is trying to reset the offense in 2026.
The video, posted by Deion Sanders Jr.'s Well Off Media YouTube Channel, shows Marion moving through the drill with plenty of confidence. Some players jokingly wondered whether he was cutting corners, but the point is clear that Marion brings a different kind of presence to the locker room, and it fits the tone Deion Sanders wants around the program.
Colorado hired Marion with one goal in mind: to score more points. Sanders has said the offense needs to clear the 30-point mark regularly, and last season's numbers made that an obvious priority. The Buffs averaged 20.9 points per game in 2025 and finished near the bottom of the national scoring rankings.
Scudero is one of the most important pieces in that effort. The San Jose State transfer led the nation in receiving yards last season, and Sanders has already praised his route running and work ethic. That kind of player gives Marion someone he can build around as he tries to reshape the offense.
Marion's track record suggests Colorado has reason to believe in the move. His offenses averaged 35.4 points per game at UNLV and 33.8 at Sacramento State, the kind of production the Buffs are chasing now.
Colorado's offense needs immediate results, and Marion's early energy is a good start, but the real test will be whether that shows up at Georgia Tech in Week 1.
