The Los Angeles Rams' running game has been stellar this season. The duo of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum have come on strong lately and helped power the Rams to a 10-3 record heading into Week 15.

While the Rams only rank 11th in rushing yards, L.A. is ninth in yards per attempt at 4.7. What's more, Williams and Corum have combined for 14 touchdowns this season, including three this past week.

But the most exciting element of the running game is the two backs' efficiency. Both rank inside the top-8 in expected points added per rush, according to Sumner Sports' Tej Seth. In fact, Corum actually leads all running backs with at least 100 carries in EPA/rush with 0.13—ahead of others like Jonathan Taylor and Jahmyr Gibbs. Williams ranks eighth at 0.06.

EPA/rush is an advanced metric that showcases how much each runner's carry affects their team's ability to score points. So in this case, Williams and Corum are among the best running backs in helping power their team's scoring drives.

That idea makes sense, considering the two are both averaging nearly five yards per carry: 5.4 for Corum and 4.9 for Williams. Head coach Sean McVay and is balancing the two backs perfectly, too, as Williams is still the nominal starter with nearly 200 carries, while Corum is a clear change-of-pace runner who can also bully at the goal line. Corum has 550 rushing yards and four scores on 101 carries, while Williams has 952 yards and eight scores on his 196 carries.

While Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams get all the glory for being exciting offensive players, Williams and Corum are the unsung heroes driving the team toward success. They're a major part of the offense, and will continue to be as long as the Rams remain competitive.
