The Pittsburgh Steelers are just one victory away from sealing a playoff berth this season, meaning that their Week 17 matchup against the Cleveland Browns has entered must-win territory.
With kickoff just around the corner, we at Steelers Wire have several bold predictions for fans to keep a close eye on.
From a big day for one of the Steelers’ running backs to a break-out performance from Pittsburgh’s second-year wideout, here’s a look at several expectations for Sunday’s contest.
Coming off one of the best performances of his career, Warren should easily eclipse the century mark in rushing yards against Cleveland. While his last outing against the Browns didn’t go exactly as planned, rushing for just 52 yards in the Week 6 win, expect Warren to produce another elite outing.
It’s no secret that Cleveland is one of the worst scoring teams in the NFL. Facing off against a rebounding Steelers’ defense won’t do the Browns any favors, with Pittsburgh holding their AFC North rivals to less than 14 points for a Week 17 victory.
Mike Tomlin has already expressed his excitement for how Wilson handles the Week 17 opportunity in front of him, and he should deliver with the first 100-yard receiving game of his career. With Calvin Austin III (hamstring) and DK Metcalf (suspension) out this Sunday, it should be Wilson, not veteran wide receivers Adam Thielen or Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who has a big game.
