Blue Jays' Kazuma Okamoto blamed a quesadilla for missing out on history originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Kazuma Okamoto had himself quite the Friday night.
The Toronto Blue Jays' Japanese slugger was close to having an even bigger one, but his pursuit of a third home run fell just a little bit short.
Two homers is nothing to sneeze at, and so Okamoto was in a good mood after the game.

Okamoto was asked about just missing a third homer, though, and he had a great response.
“I didn’t have my pre-game quesadilla today," Okamoto told reporters via his translator. "I think if I’d had that, it would have been a home run."

How many quesadillas does he have? What kind? Who makes them?
Hopefully those answers come around eventually.
For now, we know that if Okamoto forgets it, he hits two home runs, but not three.
