MANITOWOC – Bill Jartz has served as the “Voice of Lambeau Field” for the Green Bay Packers since becoming the team's game-day public address announcer in the 2005 preseason.

He’s also worked for WBAY-TV for more than four decades, starting as a sports reporter in 1983 and then serving as an evening news anchor for 27 years. He’s set to retire from that role May 23.

From 1 to 2:30 p.m. April 12, Jartz will be in the Balkansky Community Room at the Manitowoc Public Library for a casual afternoon conversation. He will discuss his life as a sports journalist and his years with the Packers organization, as well as his time at the anchor desk. Following the presentation, he will take questions from the audience.

The library is at 707 Quay St. and can be reached at 920-686-3000 or online at manitowoclibrary.org.
