Cincinnati Bengals rookie tight end Jack Endries received some hype after the club selected him in the seventh round this year.

Now, Endries is doing everything he can to prove the fans who called him a steal right.

That journey first starts with a trip to the annual TE University to work with the likes of Greg Olsen and Travis Kelce.

Jaron May of WLWT caught up with Endries and asked him about the decision to attend.

“That’s another spot where you can surround yourself with great players, great individuals,” Endries said. “Just to go learn from them is going to be a cool opportunity.”

It’s a great call from Endries, who goes on in the interview to say he understands that his final 53-man roster chances will hinge on special teams.

No easy task, as Endries has these guys in front of him on the depth chart:

  • Mike Gesicki
  • Drew Sample
  • Erick All
  • Tanner Hudson

Endries will spar with the likes of Cam Grandy and Josh Kattus for the right to then push Hudson, if possible. But he’s saying and doing the right things so far, clearly.
