The Cincinnati Bengals simply needed help on special teams when they claimed wide receiver Ke'Shawn Williams on the waiver wire.
But the Bengals get a little bonus points for likely angering the Pittsburgh Steelers, too.
After the waiver wire claim went public, The Athletic's Mike DeFabo revealed that the Steelers had been hoping to get Williams back after he passed through waivers.
The Bengals had other plans.

Charlie Jones got hurt last week, impacting the depth of the Bengals at both wideout in the base offense and when it comes to returners on special teams.
Keep in mind, too, that this might’ve been a spot when the Bengals could have finally pulled Jermaine Burton off inactives, given his returning experience over the summer. But things got so sour between the two parties that the Bengals cut him recently.
Now, the Bengals impact the Steelers as they likely head for the playoffs and get a guy in Williams who has a chance to prove himself and stick around beyond this season.
