The Cincinnati Bengals might be a threat to take a weapon for Joe Burrow earlier than most expect during the NFL draft soon.

Those Bengals have some depth problems at tight end and haven't gotten much from Andrei Iosivas or others at the third wideout spot after Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

One of the options might be Oregon wideout Malik Benson, it seems.

Benson told Justin Melo of Sports Illustrated that he’s met with the Bengals during the pre-draft process.

It’s an interesting idea for the Bengals, to say the least. Benson clocked a 4.37 40 at the NFL combine after averaging 16.7 yards per catch last year.

Adding a weapon like Benson, who could turn small quick-hitters into yards-after-catch eye-poppers, would diversify the offense a bit and give those at the controls more options than they’ve had in the past.

At the least, he’s one of the few wideout names to keep in mind as the Bengals navigate the draft.
