Cincinnati Bengals defender Dax Hill is one of two cornerbacks looking at possible big-money extensions with the team this summer.
For now, though, Hill’s on a reduced on-field pace after an apparently minor setback.
According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, Hill exited a recent practice with an “unknown ailment.”
That wound up costing Hill the Friday night event for fans at Paycor Stadium, as Gabi Sorrentino of Fox 19 captured:
It doesn’t sound like a major concern for Hill, but it would seem likely that both player and team take it easy out of precaution, especially for Hill, given the possible upcoming extension.
A breakout success story as a boundary corner last year, Hill will have that role again next year. In the interim, depth pieces like DJ Ivey will help out on the boundary across from DJ Turner, the other breakout looking at a massive contract.
