Jan. 24—BEMIDJI — It was about as close of a game as it could be between the Bemidji State men's basketball team and Winona State.
Tied 73-73 after regulation, BSU and WSU needed overtime. But the Warriors took advantage of BSU's fouls in overtime, as Winona State pulled one out against the Beavers 86-83 at the BSU gymnasium Saturday. It is their eighth loss in a row.
John Pecarich, who
set a program record
with 47 points Friday against Concordia-St. Paul, continued his hot streak with 26 points against WSU, a team high. Both he and Eddie Jallow Hedqvist sank six 3-pointers each, also a team high.
Henry Shannon III led Bemidji State (6-13) in rebounds with 10, while Isaac Severts led the team with four assists.
