Jan. 25—ST. MICHAEL — Three Bemidji High School girls wrestlers went a perfect 4-0 at the MWCA Girls Dual State Championships in St. Michael on Saturday.
The Lumberjacks went 2-2 as a team to finish in 13th place. They lost their opening match 54-18 against Sauk Centre-Melrose before they fell 43-30 against Thief River Falls. BHS beat Moorhead 41-36 before getting the better of Coon Rapids 54-24.
Taylor Merschman (106 pounds) went 4-0 on Saturday, as did Brenalen Fredriksen Holm at 118 pounds. Chastity Skerik completed the unbeaten trio at 155 pounds.
Mercy McIntyre also went 3-1. Several other BHS wrestlers finished the day with at least one win, including Emma Greiner, who went 2-2.
