Beavers swept by Bulldogs in road doubleheader

Mar. 27—DULUTH — Bemidji State (14-16) suffered a pair of losses in its road doubleheader against Minnesota Duluth (22-10) on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs grabbed a 6-0 lead through four innings in game one. The Beavers put together a three-run fifth inning to chip away at the deficit, but UMD hung on for a 6-3 victory.

Aimee Christenson was BSU's top batter in the loss, notching three hits and a run in three at-bats.

Minnesota Duluth captured an early lead in game two as well, scoring four runs through four innings. Christenson singled to left field to drive Aubrey Aukerman home in the seventh inning, scoring Bemidji State's lone run in a 4-1 loss.

The Beavers are back in action this Saturday, traveling to Sioux Falls for a doubleheader.
