The only thing that can seemingly stop the Chicago Bears' momentum at the end of the 2025 season is illness. The Bears are just hours away from taking on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football and have been dealing with a flu-like bug that has made its way throughout Halas Hall. Two more players were added to the injury report because of it as wide receivers DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus are now questionable for the game.
With Moore and Zaccheaus being added to the injury report, that brings the total number of players with an illness up to eight. The Bears are masking up and doing everything they can to limit the spread of germs, all while preparing for a game that could have major ramifications for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The Bears have already clinched a playoff berth and officially won the NFC North last night following the Green Bay Packers' loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Hopefully, Moore and/or Zaccheaus will be good enough to suit up later in the evening. The Bears are already without Rome Odunze, which would leave Luther Burden, Devin Duvernay, and JP Richardson as the healthy receivers.
The Bears did receive some good news on the injury/illness front on Sunday, though. Right tackle Darnell Wright, who was another late addition to the injury report with an illness on Saturday, did not travel with the team to Santa Clara and was listed as questionable. According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Wright is on his way to the West Coast, which bodes well for his availability. He is still listed as questionable, however.
