Manuel Neuer has made it clear that Bayern Munich’s summer tour is about much more than just appearances.

Speaking to South Korean media ahead of Bayern’s stay in Jeju, the club captain emphasized that the squad wants to connect with supporters wherever they go.

“Wherever we train and play, wherever fans are present, we’ll approach them and will be happy to sign autographs. We want to show the best face of ourselves,” said Neuer (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

But Neuer also stressed that the tour is a crucial part of Bayern’s preparations for the new season.

“We’re not only doing the summer tour for the fans. We’re also doing it for ourselves because we’re in the middle of our preseason. We have important matches against Jeju and later against Aston Villa in Hong Kong. We’ll approach them with 100% commitment and discipline,” said Neuer.

While meeting supporters remains a priority, Bayern’s focus is firmly on building fitness, sharpening tactics, and preparing for the competitive campaign ahead. The friendlies against Jeju and Aston Villa are key tests as Vincent Kompany’s side continues its pre-season work, with Neuer making it clear the team will treat every match with full professionalism.
