The offseason featured several notable transfer portal moves, including many at the quarterback position.
The Auburn Tigers snagged one of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal last season in Byrum Brown, who followed Alex Golesh to Auburn after playing for him for four seasons at USF. Athlon Sports recently recognized Brown as one of the top transfer quarterbacks from last offseason in its preseason preview magazine. Steven Lassan of Athlon Sports believes that Brown's talents should translate perfectly in the SEC.
Brown will have one season to revitalize Auburn's offense, which has dealt with inconsistent quarterback play over the last several seasons. Brown will look to change the culture of the position in 2026 after the program rebuilt its quarterback room from scratch for the second-straight season.
He features dual-threat abilities last seen at Auburn with Nick Marshall during the 2013 and 2014 seasons, and has plenty of tools around him to make him feel comfortable, as four of his top five receivers, as well as his offensive coordinator, Joel Gordon, followed Brown to Auburn.
Outside of Brown, two of Auburn's former quarterbacks also made the list. Jackson Arnold, who left Auburn for UNLV after one season, will look to get back on track under Dan Mullen in Las Vegas, while Ashton Daniels is set to compete for the starting quarterback role at Florida State.

Brown led the nation in total offense last season (347.2 yards per game) and should have a seamless transition to the SEC after following head coach Alex Golesh to the Plains.
