Merrill Kelly in his return:
5.1 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 3 K, 86 pitches, 11 whiffs
Some loud contact early and more walks than usual, but otherwise, pretty close to routine stuff for Kelly coming off the IL.

I get Thomas' bat isn't fantastic but he does lead the league in defensive runs saved. At least that is meaningful

How long until Waldschmidt is brought up? Dbacks need another bat.
If they are smart, it is within the next 5 days so he can qualify for ROY and get the extra pick.
If they are playing Time served games, I am going to say like July.
Clearly he should be playing over Tawa

The Diamondbacks have yet to post their lineup today in the series and road trip finale in Baltimore because they’ve yet to make a determination as to whether Ketel Marte (missed yesterday with back soreness) is available.

Vargas and Barrosa have been pleasantly surprising! Solid series win and a pretty decent road trip.

Winning all 3 road series is not merely "pretty decent.." It's FANTASTIC!
Outside of the Dodgers series, the entire season has started off fantastic. Playing .688 ball without it. That's with playing the Braves to a split, winning the Mets, Philly, and O's series and sweeping the White Sox. I'm not sure any of us would have placed money on that before the start of the season.Winning all 3 road series is not merely "pretty decent.." It's FANTASTIC!

Doh! Stupid mistake. Sweeping the Tigers is a bit more impressive than the Sox too.
